Google search changes seem to have negatively impacted universe.jobs google rankings

There was a change to google's search ranking algorithm called panda, recently, and it seems to have had a negative impact on the placement of universe.jobs rank on google results.

For example, prior to the change, my universe.jobs profile was always the number one listing when searching on my name, and now it is often not even on the first page.

I've known other members who have seen their universe.jobs page fall of their search results completely.

Prior to the panda algorithm, universe.jobs outperformed all other social media, and now new universe.jobs members  do not have any visibility.

Hello Chad,

Interesting observation. According this article, there have been several updates to Google’s “Panda” algorithms since they were introduced last February.

I still see that you are showing on the first page of search results when I conduct a search. As you know many factors are involved to search engine rankings such as keywords, tagging, page titles, inbound links and so on. For members who do not see their profiles in search results, it may be for a variety of reasons. For example, people with more common names have a more difficult time competing against other professionals who share the same name. Our community can help to a certain degree with regard to getting your information found, but our main objective is to help connect people to each other, be it for professional networking, to find employment or to search for talent. As always, thank you for your contributions!
